This has in the past led to the development of a number of specially designed formulations and or carrier systems to create the best effect in the product or meet the customer's specific challenge. Sometimes there are additional costs to be borne in the development, but this is a worthwhile investment if the customer gets exactly what he has been unable to find anywhere else.

Slip Additives
Slip in plastics is defined as low surface friction between polymer surfaces or between polymer and processing equipment. It is measured as a Coefficient of Friction (CoF) ranging from 0-1 with slip increasing as the number decreases.
PMB's Super Slip
- Closure manufacturers have used the enhanced speed of reaction to good effect where assembly can be completed immediately rather than waiting for a number of days.
- Faster processing lines with the resultant saving in costs.
- Higher torque that can be applied when assembling components and this allows a better seal to be made between bottle and closure.

Bespoke Design & Additive Engineering
Different formulations will give rise to differing characteristics. Low taint properties will be more important in closures for water bottles for example. A different route to the exact formula will be required. Provide PMB with your design brief in order to obtain a high performance masterbatch.

PMB's MC Carrier - high clarity carrier for PVC
To date mouldings in some polymers notably PVC has given rise to varying degrees of translucency depending upon ingredient and rate of use. PMB has overcome this problem by providing a high clarity carrier based on fully PVC compatible resins and additives which do not cause translucency or milkiness in rigid PVC.
Whilst the PMB product is particularly aimed at the clear PVC bottle blowing and sheet application markets its potential use is more universal where transparent colour effects may be required.

PMB’s MV Carrier – special carrier PVC applications
This carrier is fully compatible with PVC and allows exceptional colours and effects to be reproduced in PVC products. It can be particularly successful in reducing the incidence of unwanted characteristics in pearlescent and metallic effect products such as streaking and flow lines.
